Sports Therapist or Physiotherapist?
A Sports Therapist is a relatively new profession within healthcare in comparison to a physiotherapist.
A qualified Sports Therapist has studied and specialized in the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries.
A Physiotherapist covers pediatrics, respiratory care, cardiac patients and musculoskeletal injuries. A Physiotherapist therefore tends to specialize in any one of these areas.
